Definitely not perfect. This is a top down view, note all the axis aligned structure. I noticed those ribbons were all thin in the same dimension. Either there's a bug or, more likely, I'm getting aliasing because the trail grid is so tiny (144^3). I'm going to try a bigger non-realtime one
